Rakhi: Happy New Year everyone! Joel, Luke, some friends and myself rang in 2007 at the Bosingak Bell in Seoul. At the stroke of midnight, this huge bell which was erected centuries ago, is rang 33 times. There were thousands of people all letting off hand held fireworks. The sky was a huge cloud of smoke and it was raining soot and sulphur from all the explosions. The atmosphere was electric, it was really good fun. After the bell, we crammed like sardines onto the subway and headed to Hongdae for drinks. It was a great way to bring in the new year.

Christmas was also really good and we managed to make it fairly traditional. Thanks to everyone for your cards and presents, they made Christmas feel more authentic and stopped us feeling homesick.
